Ribbon Embroidery Topiary Needlebook and Etsy Finds

I've been in a bit of an inspirational slump lately, but I finally got inspired to make some new needlebooks this week.  A little topiary tree with French knots in silk ribbons and cotton flosses.  For the other needlebook I have a collection of the 2 1/2" charm squares and found a plain one to embroider and then finished the needlebook with some of the other squares trimming them down a bit.  May do more of these, I liked how this one turned out.

Browsing on Etsy lately and felt like doing a little shopping.  I've been looking for some small change purse size zip pouches for summertime and to carry in my camera bag for travel.  I bought the blue one from Sea Pinks on Etsy to carry change in or possibly keep my lens cap in.  I really liked the bottom one too because of the ring to attach to my camera bag.  It's a good size for money, drivers license and such.  Cute fabrics too.

I've been eyeing these pumpkin shape pincushions for a while and finally found one I had to have.  I love the delicate fabric, the linen fabric stem and the organza ribbon.  So cute and so well made.  Not sure if I want to use it or not.  I just like to look at it and place it with my other collectibles.

Looking through my fabrics I wanted to jump back in my box and do something with pastels for spring.  Comforting and familiar to get back into the swing of things.  I want to make a nice big patchwork pillow with a hand crochet border around the edge.  All in pastels.

Sketching some of our vintage bottles from our collection for some inspiration.  My daughter made the paper flowers a few years ago and I like to keep them in there in my china hutch. Until next time, hope you have a good weekend.  Raining here.  Like the rain since we get so little here in the desert.
