Redwork Chickadee and Christmas Ornaments

Image
My holiday towel this year is a Redwork Chickadee on a Berry Branch .  The design is on a  27" x 28" flour sack towel.  Flour sack towels are great for embroidery  because you can see the pattern easily through the fabric for tracing  and the fabric is really nice to embroider on.  I have a new set of Christmas Holiday Ornaments .  It is a set of six with the snowman and peppermint chocolate featured here.  There is also a hound dog, a kitten in a stocking, polka dot mittens, and a cowboy snowman.    I liked the soft grey in the vine pattern of the fabric so I chose a medium grey floss to compliment the burgundy red, creamy white shade, and holiday green  for the designs.

Poinsettia and Snowman Embroidered Towels

Redwork embroidery is really nice for the holidays.   This embroidery is done on a linen towel. You can click here for more information. This design is embroidered on a flour sack towel.  I think it's a bit easier to embroider on the cotton flour sack towel to begin with.  This is a simple outline embroidery pattern that's great for beginners or a quick project.   You can click here for more information.

Redwork Embroidery Needlebooks for the Holidays

Image
I've been putting together some patterns and needlebooks for the holiday season.  I've been inspired by monograms and  thought one would be nice on a needlebook.  I have a few of these available in my Etsy Shop and they are finished with French General fabrics.  I love French General fabrics.     And a needlebook with some sweet snowman friends.    You can click here for more information. I also have tea towel kits available with a monogram design on them.  They would be nice for holiday gifts and gift exchanges.   You can click here for more information.
